Gustav Begins To Restrengthen
5 day forecast cone now centered west of New Orleans

Gustav may soon regain its hurricane status and Louisiana remains in the center of the 5 day forecast cone which extends from Corpus Christi to east of Pensacola.
Forecasters say the storm has mamimum winds of near 70 miles per hour and Gustav could regain hurricane strength soon.
The storm is expected to resume a motion toward the west-southwest near 6 miles an hour and a turn toward the west is expected later today. Gustav is expected to move west-northwest tomorrow.
The 5 day forecast cone has the storm nearing the Louisiana coast as a Cat 3 storm early Tuesday.
